Real History is dedicated to providing accurate, thoroughly researched history in a manner that is interesting, understandable and appreciable by people of all walks of life, no matter their area of interest.
The articles on this site are, in general, not on the short side. That is intentional. The goal here is to produce detailed accounts and analysis of historical events, cultures and people. I feel that there is little point in highlighting a historical event or person as important without giving a description and analysis of why that is so.

History is an ever developing field of study. Few things are known with absolute certainty and the further back you go, the more gaps there tend to be in our knowledge of what happened, when it happened, why it happened and who was involved. As such, I always encourage debate about history. I think it is healthy to challenge our ideas and conception of historical events. Feel free to comment on any of the posts on this site.
